"Meowy Christmas!"

Hey Everyone, I am so excited to share with you my two new cards I worked on. I just love these little kitty's! They are so adorable and I am really enjoying Gerda Steiner Design stamps! You will see more of her stamps coming up. I just got another set. Sooooo excited. I saw on Jennifer McGuire's Cards,  ( www.jennifermcguireink.com ) that sometimes she adds a little bit of sparkle paper. I really like the look of it and tried them on these two new cards. She is so right. It gives it that little sparkle that adds so much to the cards.

The First card, I used Gerda Steiner Designs "Deck the Halls" stamp set. ( gerdasteinerdesigns.com ). I used the die cut "Merry Christmas" by Impression Obsession. ( www.iostamps.com ) The inks I used were Distressed Marker by Tim Holtz by Ranger. The paper I used Paper Accents "Glitz Silver/Platinum" and DCWV Holiday Collections "The winter Matstack 2009".

The Second card I used again Gerda Steiner Designs "Deck the Halls" ( gerdasteinerdesigns.com ). I also used Lawn Fawn's "Toboggan Together". ( www.lawnfawn.com ) The inks I used were Distressed Inks and Markers by Tim Holt, Ranger. The paper I used Paper Accents "Glitz Silver/Platinum" and Authentique DSP Budndle collection "Cozy", Kraft colored card stock.

I hope you enjoy these two cards. I know we just finished Halloween and there is Thanksgiving before Christmas, but I thought I would get a jump start on my Holiday cards. Smiles

Hip hip hooray... the holidays are here!

Hello, everyone! The holidays have started. I am so excited! I have two cards for you from "Lawn Fawn". I just loves these cute stamps.

I have been so busy with work but did have to get my some cards done. It's my outlet...apart from my family and friends, this makes me happy. Now who do I send these too? (smiles)

The card on the left is from the stamp set "Booya" by" Lawn Fawn". Don't you just love the cute little spider hanging from the tree. (smiles) I also used the "grassy border" from "Lawn Fawn" as well.  The tree die is from "Impression Obsession." I love how I could make it an eerie looking tree or I could change it up and make it a fall festive tree if I want to. I masked out the moon by using a 1" circle punch and the blended the colors of the night sky with Tim Holtz "Distressed inks".  ( I am still learning that technique.) I also did this technique with the grass as well. I colored the cute little ghosts with "Copic Markers." I just love these marker. They are a little pricey but I have to say so worth it! Last but not least...I cute the card out using the "small stitched Rectangles" by "Lawn Fawn."

The Second card, I also used the new Lawn Fawn "Toboggan Together" stamp set. I just love these little deers. To make the falling snow, I used "Simon Says Stamp, " Falling backgrounds." The inks I used were Memento Black, Memento Rhubarb Stalk, Tumbled glass by distressed inks and Staz-On Opaque. I colored the little deer with "Copic Markers".  The dies I used in this card, from "Lawn Fawn", were the "Mini Snowflakes", "Small stitched circle", "Forest Border", the "small stitched rectangles", and the "hillside borders. "To give this card a little pop, I used "Stickles, Xmas Red", by Ranger and added a little clear "Wink-of-Stella, " just to give it that touch of glittering snow.

I hope you liked my cards and would love to hear feed back from you. Just leave a comment below. Thank you all so much and Happy Crafting!

Here are a few video's that have really inspired me! Enjoy!

Created three different cards with one stamp!

Hello everyone, I have three cards for you using the same stamp. I just love this stamp by Magnolia "Sister and Brother". I have to say that, yes the title of this stamp is "Sister and Brother." I also used it as a couple stamp as well.

In the first card on the left. I colored these cuties with copic markers. the clouds and the grass were also colored with copic. The tree die cute is from Memory Box , "Small Alder Tree." The die cute I used to frame the image is from Spell Binders "Labels Eight." I gave this card to my husband and he liked it.

This middle card is again with Magnolia "Brother and Sister" stamp. This time I used Tim Holtz distressed inks. I loved how it turned out and I used it for the inside of the card.

The third card, I used Tim Holtz distressed inks as well. I also used Spellbinders Nestabilities "Labels eight" die, The Sentiment is from Hero Arts CL722 Poly clear stamps. Christmas theme.  I also used Memento black ink as well as Recollections "Adhesive Faux Pearls.

I started a new job this week and am in training, so I have not been able to post the cards I have made. I am hoping to set up a routine so that I will be able to most every two to three days. Thank you so much for checking me out and following me.

     Happy crafting my friends!

Adding Homemade flowers to your cards!

Hello everyone, I wanted to show you some beginnings of cards I had made a while back. I thought they turned out amazing and really wanted to show you. At the time I was also learning how to make my own flowers. I still have yet to perfect this skill...but am still very interested in it.

So let me tell you about these two beautiful little girls! The one on the left is by Elizabeth Bell! " Beary Big Hugs". Spellbinder dies," Classic Ovals (LG) "and "Floral Ovals." I used wax paper with the "Floral Ovals." I thought it would give it a different softer look. I colored her with Tim Holtz distressed markers. The flowers were made with...Cheery Lynn Designs " Miniature Rose" and EK Success "Retro Flower" (Med). I used Ranger "Glossy Accents" to glue the flowers together. I also used Stampendouse Frantage "Chunky White". For the little raised white dots around the little girls. Along with the frantage I used, Rangers "Liquid Pearls Dimensional Pearlescent paint, pink and blue.

The second Picture with the little girl holding the balloon. I used Magnolia's, " Tilda with Balloon." Everything I used it just the same as the card on the left.

Hope you enjoy the video's and the cards. Happy Card Making!!!

From my past!

Hello everyone, I thought I would post a card that I made a few years ago. This cute stamp is by Elizabeth Bell, from "Bells'n Whistles." The First card I colored this cutie with Tim Holtz "Distressed Markers on "Arches Aquarelle Watercolor paper" Hot Pressed 140lbs. I used the DSP from "DCWV- Holiday Collection The Winter Matstack." The Happy Holidays and the little girls was stamped with, Ranger Archivall Ink, Jet Black. I find that this is an ink that does not smear at all. I love it and use it on almost all my cards that I water color. I used the "Recollections 65lb -"Cape Cod" blue paper. I made this card into a fold out card. So much fun! Not sure how it would turn out but I really like the feeling of it.

The second picture is the same. I just matted it on the "cape cod" paper and used Spellbinders "Classic Oval (LG)" die cuts as well as "Floral Ovals" die cute. This was a very special card that I still have in my basket. I used a layering technique that made the image 3D. It was a lot of time and effort but the results are incredible and it steps up you cards to a whole new level. I enjoy doing this but it does take time. I used this "OLBA" transparent Glue. as well as it's applicators.

Enjoy this videos that show you how to create your own!

Happy card making!

These little girls are adorable!

Hello my friends, I have a few cards to show you. I am finding my self really enjoying creating cards with people on them! They are so much fun!

This cute little card is created with the adorable stamp set by C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie "Ready For the Rain" Along with the word stamp by C.C. Designs "Valentine's" by Pollycraft. The paper I used was...Hot Pressed 90lbs Fabriano Studio Watercolor. I used Tim Holtz Distressed Ink Pad to stamp the sentiment and his distressed markers to color in the little girl. The DSP is from the 6"x 6" pad of paper by colorbok "Hootenanny I picked up at Walmart a while back.

The next card I created, was used with another stamp set by C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie "Cupid." Again, I used the DSP "Hootenanny" and the Water color paper by Fabriano. I also colored this little cute with Tim Holtz Distressed markers. The die cute "For you" is from Lawn Fawn's new release "For You." I used the camouflage technique as well.

This third card is created with another C.C.Desgins "Rain" by Pollycraft. The sentement is from "Valentines" by Pollycraft as well. I used Tim Holtz Distressed ink and "Momento" Black ink for the sentiment.

Now my last card, I made with a "Magnolia" stamp "Here I'm Tilda. As well as the stamp ,My Friend, from "Technique Tuesday". I only stamped the "friend" part of the stamp. I also used Lawn Fawn's "Hello" die. I love using the word die cuts. I feel as though they add so much to the card! I also used their " Speech Bubble Border lawn die. I colored this cutie with again Tim Holtz distressed inks and used the same 90lbs hot pressed "Fabriano" which I absolutely love! I also used

I had so much fun making all of these cards. I just started a new job and I can't wait to get home and work on more cards. Yep...I am addicted! It makes me happy to make them and the recipient of the card is glad as well.

I leave you with another awesome card video that I just love and watch many times. Enjoy!

I colored my little girl and boy with Distressed Markers by Tim Holtz. I also used Lawn Fawn's "Milo's ABC's" and Spellbinders die cut "A2 Curved Borders One."

I had a loot of fun making these cards!

Happy Crafting my friends!

Hello, I wanted to show you my finished card!

I just loves these little children stamps by C.C Design Pollycraft. It was a lot of fun trying to figure how to set this card up. I used the Lawn Fawn "stitched borders" and their "Scripty Sayings Potopolymer clear stamps.

I also wanted to show you a card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day! It was about three years ago.

I had so much fun creating these Daisy flowers to add to the card. It was something fun as these were the wedding flowers for my wedding as well as hers!

So, I know school is starting for many of you and your kids are going off to their education. I also know that I loved to share video's I found on You Tube as well to inspire you as well as encourage you to try different techniques and layouts that I have loved.

I have a list of 287 videos I have bookmarked that I go back to all the time. Mostly  to encourage me and remind me of fun layouts. It's end of summer almost and fall is coming. Many people start on their Christmas card during this time as well as other fall card. So here are a few video from amazing card creators that I have loved.

Happy Birthday to Me!

What better way to end my birthday with a few cards! I had so much fun making these. I just love my stamp set "Playful Kitten" by Gerda Steiner Designs. She is coming out with some new Halloween/Thanksgiving clear stamps and I am so excited to see them! In the mean time I will have fun playing around with this set, until my Happy Fall set comes in the mail.

This design is not my own and would like to give credit to "iminhaven" and "Daria_boytsova." I like to look at other peoples cards as they inspire me and I created these cards with what I had. Their cards are simple and adorable.

This card, I used Gerda Steiner Designs "Playful Kitten" stamp set and colored them with copics. I also used Lawn Fawn "Sweet Smiles" stamp set. I just loved all the cute smile and though it would go well together. I  used Tim Holtz Distress Ink "Peacock Feathers" to give it the turquoise look and help make the faces pop.
For this card, I again used Gerda Steiner Designs "Playful Kitten" stamp set and colored her with copic markers. I also used Lawn Fawns "Lawn cuts-stitched borders" and for the sentiment, I used StazOn Opaque "Cotton White."

I have a few more cards to post and am excited to share them with you!

I Have been Busy!

Hello, my friends!

I have been very busy! I have been moving my family from California to Washington! But during that move what has helped among other things is my card making time. I have been enjoying carving out time to create over 10 new cards and am excited to show you over this next week!

For this card, I used card stock I got from Michael, The "love" die cute from "Lawn Faun" as well as their new cloud die cute. The little girl holding the Teddy Bear is by "Elizabeth Bell". The technique I used is called... camouflage. I used copic's to color in the stamp.

When I started my card making venture, I found "Elizabeth Bell" stamps and feel in love with them. They are all adorable! I had so much creating this card. This technique is one that is new to me and when I saw it, I just had to try it. I saw it first on aYoutube video and created this card.

Enjoy!

My First Post!

Hello my friends,

My name is Resa and this is my first blog for my cards. I have such a passion for making cards. I have always been some what of a crafty person growing up. I got into scrap-booking during  my high school days. I am a very hands on person. When I was pregnant with my first child (Eli) I scrap-booked my whole wedding Album. I loved it.

It was after my second child (Alex) was born, is when I  got into card making and just fell in love with it. It was my get away place as I was dealing with so much in my life at that time with my little one. If you want to find out more about what was going on, you can visit my personal blog at mommyteresa.blogspot.com

I am excited to share with you all the creations that I have made and will make. I hope you will come along with me on this adventure. I will try to post as much as I can. Please leave a comment. I would love to hear from you.  As I am starting this all up you can check out what I have posted on Instagram under cardsandcuddles.

Happy Card making!!
